Garrett Mays Named All State

Garrett Mays has been named an All State player as he was selected to the honorable mention team.  Garrett had a tremendous season for the Bulldogs leading the team in most offensive stats.

This marks the 8th time in El Dorado Springs history a member of the baseball team has received an All State honor and the first time since 2003.  Garrett joins his father Jarrod who was an All State player in 1992 and 1993 as the only father-son combo in Bulldog history.

Catching Up with 2011 Grad Kanon Hoover

Kanon Hoover is a 2011 graduate of El Dorado Springs who went on to play baseball at Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe, KS.  Kanon played football, basketball, and baseball in his time at El Dorado Springs.  MNU Head Coach Ryan Thompson and his staff were very excited when Kanon signed to play for them.  Kanon started a few games on the mound for MNU but was predominately a leverage bullpen guy finishing the season as MNU’s closer.  Kanon had a successful freshman season learning about the game and posting a 2-2 record, recording 3 saves, holding opponent’s to a .230 batting average, striking out 8.7 per 9 innings.  Kanon threw 32.0 innings on the season. MNU finished the season at 38-14.  It is exciting for our program to produce a player who had a key part in that success.  Here is a chance for you to catch up with Kanon.
